Why Dhamail is part of this BSS Navami

Bengaluru Sreehatta Sammelani brings together Sylhetis and friends of the community in Bengaluru. Dhamail is a circular song-and-dance tradition associated with Sylhet, and the BSS programme places Dhamail of Unity at 12:00 PM on Navami.

This makes the day useful for visitors who want both the ritual programme and a direct experience of BSS’s Sylheti cultural roots. Everyone is welcome at the Puja, not only Sylhetis or Bengalis. The Sylheti Durga Puja guide explains more about the community celebration.

Plan Pushpanjali and Bhog together

Navami Pushpanjali is scheduled at 11:00 AM. Dhamail of Unity follows at 12:00 PM, and the Bhog window begins at 1:30 PM. Visitors who want to attend all three can use the sequence on this page to plan the middle of the day.

For Pushpanjali across the Puja, use the confirmed BSS Pushpanjali timings. Check the official schedule again before travelling in case the organising team publishes a later update.
